Pulsiv and Delta-Matrix announce exclusive manufacturing partnership for high-power USB-C modules

5th August 2026
Pulsiv, the Cambridge (UK) innovator in power electronics, has signed an exclusive manufacturing and supply agreement with Delta-Matrix, part of the Easby Group, to support volume production of its next-generation USB-C power modules for fixed installations. The agreement establishes Delta-Matrix as Pulsiv's long-term manufacturing partner for its new range of high-power USB-C products. The two companies have been working closely together to optimise all aspects of the production process for volume manufacturing including component supply chain, assembly, testing, and logistics prior to formalising the agreement.

Jason Crabtree, Easby Group Chief Executive Officer, said: “The Delta Matrix team have been collaborating on this revolutionary technology for over two years. We are delighted to now be able to support bringing a comprehensive range of modules to the Global marketplace. This collaboration demonstrates the unrivalled breadth of our capabilities from initial component design, testing, evaluation, supply chain establishment, provisioning, logistics, and global sales and distribution. We are extremely proud to have been selected as a long-term exclusive supplier partner by Pulsiv”

As part of the manufacturing agreement with Delta-Matrix, Easby Group will also become an official distribution partner of Pulsiv. The Easby sales teams will actively market and distribute the Pulsiv USB-C modules throughout UK, Ireland, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, India, Hong Kong and Vietnam.

Solving In-Wall USB-C Challenges
Since its announcement in 2022, the EU’s Common Charger Directive has mandated all new devices sold in the EU must support USB-C charging. More recently though, consumers have been demanding more convenient charging locations and reduced charge times. As such, USB-C charging points are appearing more often in public spaces such as airports, libraries, and shopping centres, in electrical wall sockets for homes, offices, and hotels, and even within furniture such as bedframes, desks, and sofas.

Reducing charge times has been addressed by many manufacturers with the introduction of high power fast chargers ranging from 65W to 240W. For in wall sockets though, it is set to become more challenging following the introduction of the forthcoming EN IEC 63418 regulation. It combines both EMC and safety for “Fixed accessories intended for household and similar purposes that supply power through an interface” and mandates:

·         A standardised test fixture, procedure, and duration.

·         A lower temperature rise on internal housing surfaces in contact with cable insulation.

·         A minimum 4hr operation at the advertised output power without any over temperature protection activated.

Next Generation USB-C Modules
Pulsiv has been developing a series of high-power USB-C designs intended specifically for in-wall sockets and meet all of the requirements outlined in the new EN IEC 63418 regulation. Based on Pulsiv OSMIUM technology, a patented AC-DC conversion method, the unpotted fully assembled modules have been developed to simplify and accelerate adoption. The initial product will offer:

·         65W nominal output power (73W dynamic boost power)

·         Continuous operation at full power for a minimum of 4 hours

·         No thermal cut off or derating

·         Zero inrush current

Pulsiv’s product roadmap for fully assembled in-wall USB-C sockets also includes other power levels ranging from 45W to 240W with various connector configurations and an optional extended reliability version for more demanding applications.
